Jointless Insulation System (BSO) / ETICS
Jointless Insulation System (BSO)also known by its English name External Thermal Insulation Composite System (ETICS)is a comprehensive solution for insulating the external walls of buildings. The system provides excellent thermal insulation as well as an aesthetically pleasing finish to the façade.
Main elements of BSO/ETICS:
- Insulating boards termPIR® ETX: These panels have a low thermal conductivity coefficient (λ), which provides excellent thermal insulation. They are available in different thicknesses to suit different needs.
- Adhesives: Suitably selected adhesives are used to fix the insulation boards to the wall. These adhesives must be flexible and weatherproof.
- Fibreglass reinforcing mesh: The reinforcing mesh strengthens the insulation system and prevents cracks from forming in the plaster.
- Plastering: Different types of façade plasters are available, such as acrylic, silicone and mineral plasters. These plasters give the façade an aesthetically pleasing appearance and protect it from the weather.
- Paints: Façade paints give the final colour to the façade and protect it from dirt.
- Land: The primer prepares the wall surface for the fixing of insulation boards and ensures better adhesion of the adhesive.
- Accessories: The system is complemented by accessories such as dowels, fasteners, starter and corner profiles, all of which are essential for proper insulation.
BSO/ETICS advantages:
- Excellent thermal insulation: BSO/ETICS allows for a significant reduction in heat loss from the building, resulting in lower heating bills.
- Aesthetic façade finish: BSO/ETICS offers a wide range of plasters and facade paints, allowing you to create a facade of any design.
- Weather resistance: BSO/ETICS is resistant to rain, snow, wind and sunlight.
- Ease of installation: BSO/ETICS is easy to install, allowing the building to be insulated quickly and without problems.
BSO/ETICS application:
BSO/ETICS can be used to insulate the external walls of new builds as well as refurbished buildings. The system is suitable for insulating masonry, timber and concrete walls.
