termPIR® AL GK

termPIR® AL GK – Sandwich Panels

  • PIR Foam Core: The core is made of PIR (polyisocyanurate) foam, a high-performance rigid insulation material known for its excellent thermal insulation properties. This translates to a more comfortable indoor environment by keeping your building warm in winter and cool in summer.
  • Gas-Resistant Facings: Both sides of the PIR core are clad with a gas-resistant layer composed of paper and aluminum. This layer serves two purposes:
    • Protects the Core: The aluminum component safeguards the PIR core from potential physical damage.
    • Maintains Insulation Efficiency: The combination of aluminum and paper creates a barrier that prevents air infiltration. Since air conducts heat relatively well, this barrier is crucial for maintaining the board’s insulating effectiveness.
  • Gypsum Board (12.5 mm): One side of the board is laminated with a 12.5 mm thick gypsum board, also commonly known as drywall. This eliminates the need for a separate drywall installation step, saving time and labor during the construction process.

In essence, termPIR® AL GK boards combine excellent thermal insulation with a pre-attached drywall finish, making them a convenient and efficient solution for internal wall insulation projects.

Here are some additional points to consider:

  • Thickness Selection: The boards come in various thicknesses. Choose a thickness that aligns with your specific climate and desired level of insulation.
  • Moisture Management: Proper installation is crucial to prevent moisture build-up between the existing wall and the insulation, which can lead to mold growth.
  • Applications: While termPIR® AL GK boards are suitable for internal wall insulation, they might not be ideal for all situations. Consulting a professional can help you determine if they are the best choice for your project.

Overall, termPIR® AL GK composite insulation boards offer a combination of thermal insulation, ease of installation, and a finished surface, making them a valuable option for various internal wall insulation applications.
